Merry Christmas!

I am having the most wonderful holiday season, and I hope you are as well. For three years, off and on, I suffered from mild to moderate depression, because of my head injury, and because of epilepsy. Seven weeks ago, I just came out of it!
I could really hear music again, feel excited, anticipate things, enjoy life! Grateful does not even begin to describe my current state of mind!
I can truly be a part of the present, and look forward to the future. I have been able to socialize with friends, go places, and enjoy my life, in a way I haven’t since at least 2013.
Even the dizziness that has been a constant since 2012 seems to have abated. If my health holds, I have so many goals for 2017, and you will read about them soon.
I just wanted to quickly update you all on where I am in my life. Most important, I wish everyone the merriest of Christmases. May you all be blessed in this season as I have been.

Hi there. Thanks for stopping by. I am a small-town Southern writer, book hoarder, technology enthusiast, unashamed cat lady, and huge fan of the Outlander series. I have a degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at Tyler. I love nothing more than to paint pictures with words, and to make people happy, and if I can do both at the same time, all the better. Gratitude, simple joys, and optimism are the cornerstones of my life philosophy. I am totally blind, and I have non 24 sleep disorder, and temporal lobe epilepsy. These health issues make for some interesting times, but adversity has taught me wisdom I never would have learned otherwise. I hope you will enjoy my writing, and I thank you for taking the time to read it.
